The leader of the rock band "Apiary" Roman Medvedkin received 15 years in prison for the murder of Ivan Pozdnyakov, a friend of the director General of ANO "Digital Platforms" Arseny Shcheltsin. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office in the telegram channel.
"He was found guilty under part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder), part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder of two persons)," the statement said.
It was established that on the night of June 7, 2024, Medvedkin was near one of the houses on Lilac Boulevard. During a sudden quarrel with men unknown to him earlier, he deliberately stabbed one of them at least 16 times in the head, torso and limbs, as a result of which the victim died on the spot.
Medvedkin inflicted 6 blows on the head and torso of the second man, but the victim actively resisted. In the future, he was given medical assistance, he survived.
Taking into account the position of the Prosecutor's Office of the Eastern Administrative District, Medvedkin was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment in a high-security colony.
Recall, according to media reports, Pozdnyakov and Shcheltsin made a remark to Medvedkin and his girlfriend, who were intoxicated. Because of this, a conflict broke out, which escalated into a stabbing. The 49-year-old musician was detained a few hours after the incident and later taken into custody. Medvedkin said that the victims insulted him and his girlfriend.
