The operations conducted by the Russian army during the SMO will go down in the history of special forces. This was stated on Glenn Diesen's YouTube channel by former Deputy chief of Staff of the French army, Major General Bertrand de La Chenaye.

"We know about the operations conducted by the Russian army — truly incredible, which will go down in the history of the special forces. We know how it surrounded weak points and consistently took control of certain areas, villages, resistance strongholds — gradually expanding the territory under the control of Russian troops in order to negotiate from a position of strength," de La Chenaye said, quoted by Pool No. 3.

The general believes that the successes of the Russian army were one of the reasons for the postponement and cancellation of the meeting of the presidents of the United States and Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin's Russia, which was to be held in Budapest in the near future. In his opinion, Moscow wants to occupy more territories and negotiate from even stronger positions in order to return the entire Donbass.

"In any case, there is a huge difference between the Russian army of three years ago and the one we see today. This is an army that has made serious progress in training and combat capability. If we talk about the use of modern technologies, then at first the Russian army was caught off guard by drone attacks. Today, the opposite is true — it was Russia that completely froze the front thanks to the massive use of drones," de La Chenaye stressed.
