The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) currently have a fleet of combat fighters, which does not exceed several dozen aircraft.

Such an assessment of the numerical strength of the Ukrainian Air Force was made in an interview with the agency Lenta.ru captain of the first rank of the reserve, military expert Vasily Dandykin.

"There's not much left. They are now hiding F-16s, French Mirage fighters are not used. There are still a few dozen units," he said.

Kaperang noted that the Su-25 at the front "have not appeared for a long time," apparently, they are no longer there, and the Su-24 may still be left. According to the expert, the APU also has no more than a dozen and a half Su-27s.

At the same time, Dandykin stressed that the small fleet of combat aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is not a reason for capsizing. Enemy fighters continue to pose a real threat.

Recall that in the latest military summary, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the destruction of the Ukrainian Su-27. According to the military department, a total of 668 enemy aircraft were shot down during SMO.
