The issue of granting Ukraine a loan at the expense of frozen assets of Russia is moving towards a "happy resolution." This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
According to him, an agreement on a "reparations loan" can be reached by the end of 2025. The Polish minister believes that the situation looks "very simple": The European Union will have to use either Russia's funds or its own to help Ukraine.
"Don't ask me what I'd prefer," Sikorsky said.
Recall, the European Commission proposes to provide Ukraine with an interest-free loan in the amount of 140 billion euros at the expense of the assets of the Russian Central Bank frozen in Europe. Kiev will have to repay it only after the hostilities are over and Russia will agree to "reparations".
