"October 7, 2023 is the day I became a Jew. The day when I felt a strong connection with the people who surround me here in Israel, and with thousands of my ancestors, whom history scattered in the towns of Belarus and concentration camps in Poland," wrote Schatz❶.
He stressed that in this nation, torn by contradictions and united by traditions, he sees his own strength, sorrow and hope.

According to Schatz❶, he does not regret any decision he has made in his life, including leaving Russia. At the same time, he is sad because he cannot come to his native country.
