As a result of the shelling of an object in Slavutich, Kiev region, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was blacked out. This is reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
"As a result of power surges without power supply, there turned out to be a new safe confinement, which is a key facility isolating the destroyed fourth power unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and preventing the release of radioactive materials into the environment," the agency said in a telegram channel.
It is noted that work is currently underway to restore power supply.
As reported by EADaily, the Zaporozhye NPP has been operating on diesel generators for the ninth day. They say at the station that they cannot repair the power line due to the constant shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
