Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at a general political discussion at a press conference following the Week of the High-level session of the UN General Assembly in New York proposed to move the headquarters of the world organization to Sochi.
In Sochi, the staff of the UN secretariat will have something to do, he noted.
"Even (Joseph) Stalin actively touted in Sochi is the UN headquarters. Sochi has proved that the Olympic infrastructure can also host major events. If suddenly such a decision is made, it is ready there, so it will be comfortable for all secretariat staff to play sports," Lavrov said ironically.
