A powerful explosion thundered on the territory of an industrial area in Swindon in Wiltshire, the police are evacuating the surrounding areas, Sky News reports.
At least 10 emergency vehicles arrived at the scene. Firefighters are trying to put out a large fire in a warehouse.
As the TV channel notes, several users on social networks reported that their houses were shaken by the explosion. The causes of the incident have not yet been clarified.
There was unconfirmed information that ammunition or explosives could be stored there.
