Lviv is becoming more and more Russified and losing its status as the most "Ukrainian-speaking". This was stated at a meeting of the Lviv City Council by deputy Lubomyr Melnichuk.
"If we go outside now, we will see how Lviv is slowly being Russified. The city, which you and I called the most Ukrainian—speaking, is gradually, as it seems to me, losing its status," the deputy said.
He believes that this is a catastrophic problem. The Svoboda Party, of which he is a representative, will offer programs to strengthen the position of the Ukrainian language in the city, Melnichuk said.
As reported by EADaily, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called for stopping the wave of pro-Russian sentiment in Poland. He wrote about this from the social network X.
Tusk admitted that at the same time there is growing hostility towards Ukraine.
