Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, speaking about the proposals of the "coalition of the willing" in Ukraine, said that this is nonsense and will not have any consequences. The statement was made today, September 5, on the border with Finland in the Leningrad region in the city of Svetogorsk.
"It seems to me that this is simply inadequate. That's bullshit. Such heresy is what they are doing, or, to put it in English, it's bullshit, or just shit, whatever you want to call it," Medvedev said, answering a question from RIA Novosti about the development in Paris of a "coalition of willing" set of security measures for Ukraine. — They invent something for themselves there, pull it out of different places. Then they present it as a guarantee. It won't have any consequences. It's quite obvious."
As EADaily reported, a meeting of participants of the so-called "coalition of the willing" chaired by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron was held in Paris the day before. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz took part in a meeting of the "coalition of the willing" in a videoconference format. Following the results, Macron announced that 26 countries have pledged to place on Ukraine has deterrence forces, but only after the end of the war.
