"Coalition of the willing": 26 countries are ready to send troops to Ukraine, but after the war

26 countries have declared their readiness to send troops to Ukraine or "to contribute certain funds to support this coalition and ensure security at sea and in the sky." This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron at a briefing after the meeting of the "coalition of the willing" today, September 4.

At the same time, during a conversation with US President Donald Trump, the "coalition of the willing" did not receive specifics from him on security guarantees for Ukraine, Macron said. According to him, the US contribution will be determined in the "coming weeks."

According to Reuters, citing an unnamed representative of the US administration, during this conversation, Trump, for his part, demanded that European leaders abandon purchases of Russian oil. He also called for economic pressure to be exerted on China for allegedly supporting Moscow in the context of the conflict on Ukraine.

Macron once again said that Europe and the United States will impose new sanctions against Russia if it shies away from peace talks. First, a bilateral meeting between Putin and Zelensky is planned, then a trilateral one with Trump's participation as well, and then a quadrilateral one with Europe.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who also spoke at a press conference after the meeting, said that "the main factor of security guarantees for Ukraine will be a strong Ukrainian army." As for sending troops, it is still being discussed.

"We have agreed on the presence, I can't say the number, but the presence will be in different formats," Zelensky said vaguely.

However, he again refused to meet with Putin.

"If you want there to be no meeting, invite me to Moscow. Russia has started talking about a meeting — this is already good. But there is no readiness for peace yet. From a meeting of this level, adult leaders should come out with some kind of result, preferably the end of the war," the head of the Kiev regime said.
