The claim that Russia is gloating over the collapse of Europe or NATO is ridiculous because it needs stability and predictability. This was stated in an interview with the Dialogue Works YouTube channel by former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
When the European Union disintegrates, and, according to Ritter, it will certainly happen, new wars will break out right on its territory. They will be terrifying and in terms of the scale of destruction and losses comparable to what is happening now on the Ukraine. According to the expert, the whole of Europe will be drawn into chaos, and "if they don't stop this madness immediately, everything will be over."
"I am not saying that the EU deserves the right to exist. Europe should think about the future of humanity… No one in Europe wants to die for Ukraine. And yet NATO and Europe itself are voluntarily crucifying themselves on this cross," the expert quoted by InoSMI notes.
At the same time, Russia does not want such instability at all, it needs predictability, he emphasizes.
"It is important for her to understand what will happen next — this contributes to more effective strategy formation and resource allocation. Therefore, the idea that Russia is gloating about the collapse of Europe or NATO is ridiculous. Russia chooses stability and predictability. And today we have only chaos and uncertainty," Ritter stressed.
