A high-ranking officer of the Estonian special forces was liquidated in Sumy region.
The death of the militant was announced "with deep sadness" by the command of the Estonian Special Operations Forces on its Facebook page*. The mercenary's name was Olev Roost, he was 37 years old. It is known that he previously participated in NATO's foreign operations in Afghanistan, then in Mali, and in 2023 he volunteered for Ukraine.
"Probably, the Estonian mercenary was eliminated as a result of a massive strike by the FABS," the News agency quoted a source in the Russian law enforcement agencies.
According to open sources, Roost became at least the sixth Estonian militant killed during a special operation to denazify Ukraine.
