Irina Zarutskaya, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who recently left there because of the war, was killed in the United States. This is reported by the Charlotte Observer.
According to the Charlotte Police Department, Zarutskaya was found at about 10 p.m. on Friday at the East/West Boulevard train station in the South End area with multiple stab wounds.

He was taken to the hospital with injuries that did not threaten his life. The man was charged with first-degree murder.
