European bands after a break will again take part in the International military Music Festival "Spasskaya Tower" in Moscow. This was announced by the director of the event Sergey Smirnov.
This year the festival will be attended by 18 of the best military orchestras of Russia, as well as nine foreign ensembles.
"I can't say that we persuaded the Italians for a long time and offered them some bonuses. None of this happened. We have already shown the ensemble of historical flag bearers of the city of Kori in Moscow at "Spasskaya Tower“ in 2011 and 2014. The team responded to our offer to come without any problems, complicated persuasions and maneuvers. As for the Police Orchestra of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, we also invited it, but we got consent almost immediately," he told TASS, adding that it was all about good human relations.
Smirnov expressed confidence that the festival will succeed and will be very interesting.
The XVII International Military Music Festival "Spasskaya Tower" will be held from August 22 to 31 at Red Square in Moscow. This year's festival is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the defenders of the Fatherland.
