Farewell to the theater director Yuri Butusov will be held in Sofia (Bulgaria). This was reported by the press service of the Lensovet Theater in the telegram channel.

"Friends, farewell to Yuri Nikolaevich Butusov will take place today in Sofia at 13:00. You can put a candle or just turn mentally (the time coincides with Moscow time), " the message says.

As EADaily reported, Yuri Butusov died at the age of 64. He drowned in the Black Sea while on vacation in Bulgaria. This happened, according to preliminary data, after the rescuers finished work on the beach. According to the police, there are no signs of violence on the body of the deceased.

After the start of the special military operation, Butusov left his post at the Vakhtangov Theater and left Russia.

Earlier, the director's widow Maria said that the farewell would be in Moscow, and the funeral after the cremation in St. Petersburg.

When trying to raise funds for the funeral of the director, it became known that the accounts indicated in the collection were blocked.
