In Poland, the trial of a Ukrainian citizen Christina S., who sent a parcel with explosives, begins. The prosecutor's office says that the foreigner acted together with the Russians.
The incident occurred in July 2024 in the Silesian Voivodeship. Kristina S. is accused of planning sabotage activities. According to the prosecutor's office, the woman acted together with another citizen of Ukraine and two Russians.
"She participated in sending a parcel containing explosive devices and materials through a courier. The package contained nitroglycol, as well as military—style electric fuses - the so-called cumulative bomb. The cargo was delivered by the services to one of the large warehouses of the courier company in the Lodz voivodeship," the prosecutor's office of the city of Petrkow-Trybunalski reported.
According to the expert opinion of the Polish Internal Security Agency, in the event of a detonation, the package could cause "serious damage to critical infrastructure, including piercing fuel tanks, building ceilings and steel structures."
The woman faces up to eight years in prison.
