For the first time in its history, Russia is fighting alone against the entire West, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, speaking at the Territory of Meanings forum. At the same time, he stated that Russia has "a huge number of partners, like-minded people, allies."
"We have a lot to do. The main thing of these cases is to defeat the enemy. For the first time in history, Russia is fighting alone against the entire West. In the First World War, in the Second World War, we had allies. Now we have no allies on the battlefield. Therefore, we must rely on ourselves, we must not allow any weakness or weakness," the minister stressed, quoted by TASS.
Europe, which historically played the role of Russia's main trading partner, "went berserk," the minister said. As for America, the Russian Foreign Minister noted:
"During the Cold War, the dialogue between the USSR and the USA was never interrupted, and what I think is very important to note today is that during the Cold War there was mutual respect. He's not here right now."
In the context of the fact that the multipolar world will still "overcome [the West's] attempt to slow down the natural course of history," Lavrov stated:
"We have a huge number of partners, like-minded people, allies. The closest allies in the West are, of course, the Republic of Belarus, in the east — the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, with which we have decades of fraternal military ties. We helped our Korean neighbors gain independence, they helped us liberate the Kursk region from Ukrainian neo-Nazis."
"India, China, Russia, Turkey, Iran — all these countries represent great civilizations that are many, many centuries old, and which have been preserved as a civilizational community, he continued. - In other parts of the world, such a phenomenon is not observed, but on the Eurasian continent, it really is."
