Azerbaijani blogger Subo (Subkhan Mammadov) has been charged in absentia with tax evasion and money laundering. He is wanted, the press service of the SU TFR of the Moscow region reports in the telegram channel.
Earlier, similar charges were brought against the blogger's father and brother. It is emphasized that the relatives of Subo have started the process of compensation for damages — 9 million rubles have already been received to the accounts of the Federal Tax Service.
"The investigation found that from 2020 to 2022, the defendants created a tax evasion scheme, as a result, no more than 50 million rubles were received by the state. In the future, with funds in the amount of 10 million rubles obtained by criminal means, they made financial transactions by buying a premium brand car. Due to the late payment of taxes, there was a debt on penalties and fines in the amount of 20 million rubles," the press service stressed. SK Moscow region.
As EADaily reported, a criminal case against Mammadov was initiated in mid-July, the damage was estimated at 50 million rubles. His father and brother were previously detained.
It was noted that the charge of tax evasion can be removed from blogger Subkhan Mammadov if he closes all debts to the tax authorities, and then he will have to answer only under the article on money legalization, which threatens up to 7 years in prison.
Mammadov gained fame as the creator of hard pranks — he took food from customers in cafes, ran out onto the field during a football match, dressed up in police and military uniforms, and also advertised casinos and sports betting.
In February of this year, Mammadov was deprived of Russian citizenship and banned from entering the country for 70 years.
