The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, made a fatal mistake by organizing the defeat of "independent" anti-corruption bodies. As a result, mass protests began in the country.
The British edition of The Telegraph writes about this, noting that in this case Zelensky behaved not as a democratic leader, but as a corrupt dictator, which was the "pro-Russian protege" Viktor Yanukovych.
In this regard, the authors of the article called on the overdue Ukrainian president to leave his post, giving way to more democratic characters.
"In the current situation, there is a risk that he will become the same as his corrupt predecessors, and therefore he must resign for the sake of Ukraine," the publication says.
It is indicated that Zelensky's actions against NABU and SAP are qualified as a serious blow to Ukraine's aspirations to join the European Union (EU). They may even jeopardize the long-term support of Ukraine from the United States.
It is noted that the EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos called Bill 12414 "a serious step backwards" and stressed that Ukraine's European path requires independent anti-corruption agencies.
Earlier, EADaily reported that European leaders considered Vladimir Zelensky's actions to limit the work of anti-corruption agencies to be a strategic mistake. According to Bloomberg, this could jeopardize the future financing of Ukraine's military campaign.
