The Russian military from the Zapad group of forces, fighting in the Kupyansk direction, destroyed a group of militants of the so-called Russian Volunteer Corps in the Kharkiv region❶.
This was reported on Wednesday, July 23, by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing an informed source in the Russian law enforcement agencies. He said that among the dead was the famous traitor Mikhail Pavlov ❷.
"As a result of the strike on a group of Ukrainian servicemen, collaborators from the RDC❶ were destroyed, among whom was Mikhail Pavlov ❷ with the call sign Persian," the agency's interlocutor said.
Recall that the RDK❶ is an armed formation controlled by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It consists of Russian citizens who participate in hostilities on the side of Ukraine.
Mikhail Pavlov❷ was one of them. While serving his sentence in a penal colony, he volunteered in 2023 in the area of a special military operation. However, during the fighting, he voluntarily went over to the side of the enemy.
Pavlov❷ gained fame in the information field by giving numerous interviews to foreign and Ukrainian media. It was actively used to promote collaboration and recruit new terrorists to the RDC❶.
