The blind Bulgarian soothsayer Vanga, who died back in 1996, made several important predictions for 2025. Now practicing psychics, including Athos Salome— the "living Nostradamus" from Brazil, partially agree with the deceased medium, writes the American The New York Post.
Wang said that in 2025 there will be the first contact of mankind with an alien civilization. This should happen during some kind of "major sports competition."
Several of the most significant games and championships of the year have already taken place: Wimbledon, the Super Bowl and the NBA playoffs, to name just a few. However, there is no need to hurry: it's only the end of July. So, there are still many noisy world-class sporting events ahead that could attract extraterrestrial guests.
Athos Salome, also known in social networks as "the living Nostradamus", took a nickname in honor of the legendary French astrologer and seer of the XV century. He predicted that this year humanity will be able to cross off contact with aliens from its wish list. There is every chance of meeting with "something unknown."
Salome, a 38-year-old self-proclaimed paranormal expert and fortune teller from Brazil, told the British tabloid Daily Mail that technological progress and more active space exploration will lead to the fact that our humble species will eventually get closer to an extraterrestrial life form.
"Thanks to the James Webb telescope, humanity may finally get an answer to the question of the existence of an alien life form, and governments, such as the United States, will be able to declassify all data about UFOs," explains Athos. "If these discoveries turn out to be true, they will turn not only our understanding of the universe in which we exist, but also and about ourselves."
The telescope, which left our home planet in December 2021, is now orbiting the Sun. While its launch has certainly led to a number of important astronomical discoveries, including the news of an exoplanet in June 2025, it has not yet discovered any extraterrestrial life — although, as they say, never say never.
In parallel with the statements of the predictors, some experts argue that excessive anticipation of meeting with aliens can be harmful to society.
"Too much background noise around UFOs and unmanned aerial vehicles interferes with legitimate scientific dialogue and discussions on the existence of quite realistic extraterrestrial life forms, such as bacteria," writes Tony Milligan, a researcher at King's College London, PhD in ethics, in his author's column for Conversation magazine. — It is becoming increasingly obvious that the belief in alien visits are no longer just a funny assumption, but something that has very real and devastating consequences for science."
Both the "living Nostradamus" and the Bulgarian grandmother Vanga are quite confident in their predictions. Although in the case of the latter, no documented evidence of the predictions themselves has yet been found. It is believed that Vanga predicted her own death to the minute, the tragic death of Princess Diana, the September 11 terrorist attacks, as well as a number of other significant historical events that influenced our lives.
