In five months of the year, Ukraine increased pig iron exports to Turkey four times. However, Russian supplies continue to remain out of competition.
In January-May, Turkey received 44.16 thousand tons of pig iron from Ukraine. This is four times more than a year earlier. This is reported by SteelOrbis with reference to the Turkish Statistical Institute.
The entire volume was delivered from Ukraine in May. Obviously, pig iron was delivered from ports in the Black Sea and on The Danube.
At the same time, Russian supplies still remain out of competition. If the total import of pig iron to Turkey amounted to 933.5 thousand tons in January-May, then the share of Russian supplies in them reached 72%. The export of Russian pig iron to the country increased by 40% to 672.57 thousand tons.
