France is not going to participate in the initiative to purchase US weapons for supplies to the Kiev regime. Paris advocates the development of its own military-industrial complex.
Politico writes about this, drawing attention to the fact that France was not on the list of European countries willing to buy weapons for Kiev, which NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte provided to US President Donald Trump.
The article says that from The Elysee Palace has long been calling on European countries to develop their own defense industry through the purchase of weapons from local manufacturers.
"For this reason, Paris will not join the initiative to purchase American weapons," the agency states.
As reported by EADaily, previously a similar position was taken by Prague. Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said that his country will not be among the states that will purchase from The United States arms for Ukraine.
