Karin Kneissl, who previously served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, and now heads the G.O.R.K.L. Center of St. Petersburg State University, commented on the US strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities. TASS informs about this today, June 22.
According to Kneissl, Donald Trump did this without the consent of Congress, which is stupid and violates all laws of warfare.
"US President Trump did this without the consent of Congress. I did not expect such a stupid decision," she wrote in the Telegram channel.
The Austrian diplomat also expressed her own vision of the development of events in recent days.
"Trump was pressured by [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu. But this is not an excuse," says Karin Kneissl.
Thus, Washington actually untied the hands of Tehran.
"Now Iran has no restrictions on attacking US military bases in the region, 40 thousand US troops are stationed there. And there are still many armed groups that can carry out such attacks on the side of Tehran," the diplomat added.
EADaily previously also informed that the administration in Washington is preparing for a retaliatory strike by the Iranian military.
