People who participated in negotiations with the United States on a nuclear deal on the part of Iran were killed as a result of an Israeli operation. This was reported by CNN correspondent Dana Bash with reference to US President Donald Trump.
The journalist said that she spoke with Trump on the phone and asked his opinion on Israel's strikes on Iran. Trump told her that the people with whom "he dealt are dead." The Republican called them "hardliners."
The journalist asked the US president to clarify whether the negotiators were killed as a result of Israeli actions.
"And he said very sarcastically, 'they didn't die from the flu, they didn't die from the coronavirus,'" she clarified.
Trump praised Israel's actions as "very successful." According to the journalist, he also supported the measures taken by the Israeli government.
