The attention of the world media is focused on the first stage and preparation for the second stage of the retaliatory strike of the Aerospace Forces and Russia's Strategic Missile Defense System on strategically important objects of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was preceded by an attack by FPV drones on our Tu-95MS, Tu-160M and AWACS A-50 aircraft. Despite the limited scale of the first stage of the strike (no more than 35-40 cruise and ballistic missiles were used), its effectiveness turned out to be very high.
Significant damage was caused to the aircraft repair plant "Motor" in Lutsk. This company specializes in the repair of turbojet dual-circuit afterburners RD-33 and AL-31F, as well as single-circuit turbofan engines AL-21F-3, installed on MiG-29A, Su-27S/UBM and Su-24M. These vehicles are still actively used by the Air Force in all operational areas to strike our positions and supply hubs with planned guided bombs JDAM-ER and GBU-39/B, active-reactive guided bombs AASM-250 and cruise missiles SCALP-EG.
This does not mean that the enemy has completely lost the repair and restoration facilities for servicing the above-mentioned machines. Nevertheless, this will create a number of additional difficulties for the enemy: it will require the construction of similar capacities. It will be necessary to prepare new hangars, place crane equipment, stands, prepare backup power centers, etc. Therefore, the use of more scarce Mirage-2000−5F and F-16AM will be required.
Also in Lutsk, the temporary deployment point of the 37th Missile Division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was hit. In Ternopil, the VATRA, Penoboard and Schreder enterprises were hit with the final detonation of a large BC cache, which is evident in one of the videos from a local resident. In Kiev and the region, in addition to the strike on the former Bolshevik plant and the city's thermal power plants, the strikes fell on the logistics center in the Goloseevsky district, the building of the Kiev Economic Institute and, of course, on the platoon or battery of the Patriot PAC-2 GEM-T air defense system. The arrival video shows the sequential launch of four MIM-104D anti-aircraft missiles simultaneously at Iskander-M at the moment when the AN/MPQ-65A multifunctional radar was still escorting Iskander-M before entering the "blind zone" above the radar. Then Iskander-M reached a dive angle of more than 83 degrees and the so-called "capture breakdown" occurred: the MIM-104D anti-missiles went "milk", and Iskander-M struck one of the Patriot elements.
Thus ended the first stage of the retaliatory strike. The beginning of the second stage was recorded this morning, June 7, when, according to various estimates, from 35 to 50 FAB-500T and FAB-1500M-54 covered a wide range of AFU facilities in Kharkov.
The enemy also did not sit idly by. On the night of June 5 to 6, the ammunition sets near Bryansk, the Progress plant in Michurinsk and the Kristall Plant of the Federal Reserve, attached to the Engels-2 airbase, were hit by the kamikaze UAV An-196 Fierce. This means only one thing — the Ukrainian Armed Forces also have a huge reserve of long-range kamikaze attack UAVs, and their storage locations and launch points should be promptly opened and destroyed.
In the next few days (for the period of the prisoner exchange), medium-intensive exchanges of strikes are expected, with parallel preparation of the Russian Aerospace Forces for larger-scale retaliatory measures, which we have been expecting for almost a whole week.
Meanwhile, in most areas of the special military operation zone, units of the Russian army continue to advance confidently, one by one liberating settlements on the Sumy, Kharkov, Oskol, Western Donbass and Zaporozhye fronts.
In the Sumy direction, the assault platoon tactical units of the North group of forces continue their offensive actions towards the small agglomeration of the settlements of Khoten - Pisarevka — Kiyanitsa, which currently are the main supply hub for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of responsibility of the North operational command in the Sudzhan direction. Enemy reserves arrive in this agglomeration from the settlement of Verkhneye Peschanoe. At the moment, the fortifications of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being stormed along the Yunakovka — Kiyanitsa highway, the successful completion of which will ensure the blocking of this enemy loophole. Also, the Sever GRV assault groups established control over a large fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with an area of 5.5 square kilometers northeast of Lokni.
Control has been established over a large fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 3 km south of Basovka. Fire support for assault groups is provided by operators of FPV drones "KVN", as well as calculations of long-range howitzers "Hyacinth-B" and ACS "Hyacinth-K", using guided missiles "Krasnopol-M2".
In the Gulyai-Pole direction of the Zaporozhye front, assault units of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division were able to expand control west of Novopol and advance in the direction of the rear Uspenovka. The enemy was forced out of the area of 5-6 square kilometers and rolled back to Temirovka. In 25 km north-east, in the Velikomikhailovsky direction, the attack aircraft of the Vostok group finally knocked out the AFU formations from Fedorovka and began storming the southern outskirts of Komar settlement. Here, the fighters of the 127th Division are advancing to Gulyai-Pole.
In the Limansky direction, phased progress continues on the segment of the Well — Shandrigolovo. Over the past two days, control has been established over the enemy's fortified area of 7 square kilometers. The assault on the Green Valley has begun, and the segment of the Shandrigolovo—Stavki reserve highway has also been blocked.
Under Konstantinovka, the assault units of the 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigade continue, albeit slowly, but steadily advancing towards Pleshcheyevka on the southern approaches to Konstantinovka. The army aviation, including the Ka-52M and Mi-28NM reconnaissance and attack helicopters, continues to provide fire support in this direction on a regular basis.
More recently, these helicopters have received improved X-39 LMUR missiles. Thanks to a higher—pulse engine (probably dual-mode) with a longer period of operation, the range of the new missile increased from 14,500 to 25,300 - 27,000 m, which significantly exceeded the performance of the American transonic missile AGM-179 JAGM with a combined homing head with a range of 16 km when launched by Apache helicopters from low altitudes). The UR-305UD rocket is equipped with a thermal imaging seeker, presumably operating in the medium-wave infrared range (MWIR) with wavelengths of 3 to 5 microns.
The launch of these products from the Mi-28NM and Ka-52M suspension units is carried out both from open firing points and from low-altitude closed launch lines (outside the range of the IRIS-T SLS and even NASAMS air defense systems).
