The United States risks entering into a military confrontation with the coalition — Pentagon

In the event of a direct military confrontation with one of its likely opponents in the person of Russia, China, the DPRK or Iran, the United States may enter into a war with the coalition. This was stated in a written statement prepared for hearings in the Armed Forces Committee of the Senate of the US Congress by the head of the Northern Command of the US Armed Forces and the head of the Joint Aerospace Defense Command of North America, General Gregory Guillot, reports TASS.

The document notes that after the start of a special military operation on Ukraine strategic partnership between Russia, China, North Korea and Iran has "expanded significantly." In this regard, the threat of "a rapid expansion of the conflict with one rival to a war with a coalition of opponents" is increasing for the United States.

At the moment, according to Guillot, we are not talking about the formation of a "military alliance." However, the general perception of the West by the four "key rivals" of the United States as a "global destabilizing force" can form the basis for a wartime partnership.

The general pays special attention to Moscow and Beijing, which, in his assessment, "consistently develop strategic partnership and military cooperation to counter what they regard as a constant threat from the United States to their basic security interests."

Cooperation between Russia and China, according to Guillot, "can quickly develop into coordinated military operations that complicate the planning of the United States and its allies and expand the capabilities of each of the adversaries to threaten North America." In particular, the general points out, the PRC is developing the ability to "threaten parts of North America with conventional weapons," as well as increasing the number and improving the means of delivering nuclear weapons.

Guillot also notes that Russia "has increased its already impressive capabilities to pose a threat to North America through air- and sea-based cruise missiles in non-nuclear equipment." He emphasizes that "Russian flight crews and naval forces have gained valuable experience" in conducting combat operations on the Ukraine.

The general also informs congressmen that Russian heavy bombers in 2024 returned to the pre-war level of strategic patrolling, having carried out "many sorties along the coast of North America."
