In Mexico, a 35-year-old Pole was brutally murdered, who was mistaken for a pedophile and lynched.
The incident occurred in Tijuana, the westernmost city in all of Latin America. The Mexican edition of Purto Norte reports the details:
"The man was walking along Calle Segunda and seemed to be disoriented. He managed to communicate with several people in English. Among them was a beauty salon employee who gave him a pack of chips and soda. He used the language of his mobile phone to ask to contact his family, who, according to him, lives in Playas de Rosarito (50 km from Tijuana. — EADaily). Soon the man arrived at the local market. There he turned for help to a random woman with a five-year-old son."
According to eyewitnesses, a foreigner (and it turned out to be, as it turned out later, a Polish citizen of 35 years) for some reason, he put his sunglasses on the boy, hugging the child, which made the baby cry. The mother immediately screamed. Then the events unfolded, as in an action movie. The Mexicans rushed to the mother's aid and began to pursue the fleeing Pole. The chase lasted for several blocks, during which the man was caught up, beaten, his backpack, clothes and even shoes were taken away. There is footage of a foreigner jumping into a regular bus, but his driver directed a jet from a fire extinguisher at the fugitive, and then, according to some reports, inflicted several stab wounds himself. A 35-year-old Polish citizen did not survive.
Currently, the driver is detained, in the course of the case he was found to have marijuana. The prosecutor's office is investigating, other persons directly involved in the lynching of the Polish tourist are being identified.
Polish portal Epainfo.pl clarifies that in 2016, the Pole was sentenced to eight years in prison for the reckless murder of a cyclist on the river. After his release, he emigrated from Poland to Latin America.
