Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed solidarity with the opposition pro-Russian party Alternative for Germany (AfD), commenting on the decision of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Germany to classify a political force as "right-wing extremist," writes the tabloid Bild.
Orban wrote on social networks, addressing the leader of the "AdG" Alice Weidel:
"What the hell is going on in Germany? You can count on us."
Thus, another high-ranking global politician publicly condemned the decision of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Germany to recognize the AfD as a "right-wing extremist" organization.
Earlier, EADaily reported that US Secretary of State EADaily and US Vice President Jay Dee Vance also criticized the new move by the German authorities, which gives the German special services broad powers to supervise and spy on representatives of the opposition party, including the possibility of wiretapping telephone conversations.
The Hungarian Prime Minister has repeatedly expressed support for the AFD. On the eve of the Bundestag elections in February this year, Orban held an official meeting with Alice Weidel, calling the AfD the "future" of Germany. Weidel, in turn, called Hungary "a model of the fight against illegal migration."
