People's Artist of Russia Valery Leontiev, who celebrated his 75th birthday last year, is forced to perform in European pubs in order to earn money. This is reported by the telegram channel Mash.
It is alleged that the artist, who had previously announced his retirement, agreed to a "world tour", but in places where Russians rest.
"The organizers are increasingly and more insistently offering Leontiev and his Hang Glider — he is ready to speak at your banquet or public dinner for 15 million rubles," the publication says.
This offer has already been used by the organizers of events in France. Leontiev will perform on June 26 in the town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer on the Cote d'Azur.
The announcement of the event, which will be held at the Circe restaurant, says that this evening is "not for everyone." Guests are offered a "candlelit dinner", but only for 300 people.
As EADaily reported, on the day of Leontiev's 75th birthday, his director Boris Chigirev said that "Valery Yakovlevich has long since left the stage, just now he officially announced it."
However, in July last year, Leontiev spoke at a private event in Moscow, a video recording of the speech spread through telegram channels.
In November 2024, Leontiev took part in the anniversary concert of the People's Artist of Russia Igor Krutoy in Moscow.
