That's what they ran into: the marginalization of Russian—speaking people went sideways to Kiev - Buzhansky

The statement by the special envoy of the US President, Steve Witkoff, that Kiev is "less worried" about Russian-speaking regions and therefore it is possible to accept their loss is largely caused by the policy towards the Russian-speaking population, which was carried out on Ukraine in recent years. This was stated by People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party Max Buzhansky.

"I saw such a quote from Witkoff, I smiled bitterly. Do you know who gave him this idea? Those who have been doing their best all these years to pretend that Russian speakers are some kind of tiny marginal minority, mostly somewhere out there in the occupied territories and concentrated, those who banned translations of books into Russian and tried to fine first—graders of Russian-speaking for chattering at recess, those who got out of their skins trying to show — we don't have such and we don't need them. Well, everything worked out for them, they were heard," Buzhansky writes in his telegram channel.

He complains that no one told Witkoff that we have half a country of Russian speakers, "many times more than those who are in the occupied territories now."

"No one has said, it has not been said anywhere. So how does he know this if he only sees Haight and attempts to discriminate more strongly? He did not find out, say thank you to the conditional people's Deputy Pipa and everyone else the same. We coped," the people's Deputy is annoyed in pure Russian.

As EADaily reported, another attempt was registered in the Verkhovna Rada to ban communication in Russian during recess at school. This was stated by Deputy Maxim Buzhansky.

"This time, People's Deputy (Natalia) Pipa tricked, as I was told, First Vice Speaker (Alexander) Kornienko into this story, but the essence of the bill is exactly the same as last time," the deputy wrote in his telegram channel.
