Russian units from the North group of forces, as a result of active offensive actions, liberated the settlement of Oleshnya, Kursk region.
This is stated in a special military summary of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which is devoted to the fighting in this Russian region. It was published on Saturday, April 19.
"Units of the North group of forces liberated the settlement of Oleshnya, Kursk region, during active offensive operations," the report said.
It is reported that our troops defeated the formations of the tank, mechanized, airborne assault brigades, the territorial defense brigade and the assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the Gornal settlement.
In addition, the enemy was constantly attacked by operational-tactical, army aviation and artillery, as a result of which the enemy's manpower and equipment were hit in the areas of the settlements of Vodolagi, Krovnoye, Sadki, Yunakovka and Yablonovka in Sumy region.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the enemy's losses in this sector of the front during the day amounted to over 165 servicemen. A tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, two armored combat vehicles, three vehicles, six artillery pieces, two mortars, four MLRS launchers and three electronic warfare stations were destroyed.
