FSB officers detained in Pyatigorsk, a native of one of the countries of Central Asia, who planned to arrange a terrorist attack in an entertainment center and travel to Syria, the service's Public Relations Center reported.
According to the FSB, in preparation for the terrorist attack, the attacker scouted the area, acquired weapons and components necessary for the manufacture of incendiary mixtures. The detainee confessed to preparing a terrorist attack. In a video distributed by the FSB, the detainee stated that he was a member of an international terrorist organization.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the man was actively corresponding with the curators who were on the Ukraine.
