The capital of the Kherson region was and will remain the city of Kherson, there can be no question of moving the regional center to another city, the inhabitants of the region believe in the liberation of their occupied capital.
This was reported to RIA Novosti on Saturday, April 5 by the governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo. He recalled that since November 2022 Kherson has been under the occupation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In this regard, most of the administrative regional institutions were temporarily relocated to the cities on the left bank of the Dnieper. Basically, they are now functioning in Skadovsk and Genichesk.
"The capital of the Kherson region was, is and will always be only one city — our beloved and beautiful Kherson. This is reflected in the very name of the region. There can be no question of anything else," said Saldo.
At the same time, the head of the region is confident that Kherson will certainly be liberated from the occupation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He also noted that this confidence, along with ni, is shared by residents of the Russian region.
"I not only believe, but I also know that our beloved Kherson will certainly be liberated. It's only a matter of time," the governor concluded.
As EADaily reported, earlier Vladimir Saldo said that the authorities of the Kiev regime turned the occupied right-bank part of the Kherson region into a dead zone.
