The British government has rejected Russian President Vladimir Putin's demand to Ukraine's allies to suspend arms supplies to Kiev for the duration of any truce. This is reported by Bloomberg.
"We will always continue to support Ukraine militarily," Prime Minister Keir Starmer's spokesman Dave Pares told reporters in London on Wednesday.
This applies "in all scenarios," Pares stressed.
So he answered the question of whether the UK could agree with Russia's insistence on stopping the supply of military aid.
The Kremlin said in a statement about a telephone conversation between Putin and US President Donald Trump on Tuesday that Russia had put forward several conditions for a long-term ceasefire, including suspending the supply of foreign weapons and intelligence support to Ukraine, Bloomberg reminds.
As EADaily reported the day before, Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump continued a detailed and frank exchange of views on the situation around Ukraine during a telephone conversation. This was reported on the eve of the Kremlin's press service in its telegram channel.
