The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense continue to repel the attack of enemy UAVs on Moscow, at the moment 69 drones flying to the capital have been shot down.
This was announced on Tuesday morning, March 11, in his Telegram channel by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
"The air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense have currently shot down 69 enemy drones flying to Moscow. The relevant services are working on the spot," the statement said.
It is known from media reports that the settlements of the Moscow region were attacked. The governor of the region, Andrei Vorobyov, said that the house located on Domodedovo Street was damaged.
Also seven apartments of the house on the Northern highway in Ramenskoye, there was a fire in the parking lot of Miratorg in the Domodedovo city district. The governor said that one person was killed and three were injured as a result of the attack.
At Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, the reception and release of flights is temporarily restricted. The movement of trains through Domodedovo railway station towards Moscow and the region is also restricted — the fallen drone damaged the railway track.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the air defense forces repelled a drone raid over the territory of Ryazan, previously, there were no casualties, said the governor of the Ryazan region Pavel Malkov.
