Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, which produces NASAMS anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), plans to open a missile manufacturing facility at Ukraine. This was announced by its leader Eirik Lee in an interview with the portal Euractiv.
"Now we are creating a company on Ukraine. We are closely discussing with Ukrainian industry representatives the opening of a joint venture," he said, noting that the main task will be to "increase the production of missiles for air defense systems by Ukraine on the basis of Ukrainian technology".
"We are talking about the mass production of missiles, that is, hundreds," Lee said.
The head of the Norwegian company stressed that the company would like to integrate Ukraine into the supply chain of missiles for air defense systems after the end of the armed conflict, TASS reports.
