The Czech Foreign Minister held meetings with a number of high-ranking representatives of Israel. This was reported in the press service of the Czech Foreign Ministry.
It is reported that during the talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, he supported Israel in its fight against terrorism, in response, Netanyahu thanked the Czech government for all the support they provided. Lipavsky held talks with President Yitzhak Herzog and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, and also opened the NATO contact Embassy, whose functions were recently assumed by the Czech Embassy.
It is noted that during all the negotiations the main topics were issues of a geopolitical nature, especially the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as the global nature of these clashes.
"Russia is to us what Iran is to Israel. Everyone here understands this proposal well. We also talked about The EU-Israel Association Council, which is a key platform for open discussion, coordination of positions and solutions to global problems," Lipavsky said.
During the meetings, the Minister outlined the point of view of Czech diplomacy on topical issues and was interested in further opportunities for Czech companies to participate in Israeli projects. Lipavsky also met with the Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer and family members whose relatives were kidnapped by Hamas in October 2023. On February 28, the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry met with his colleague Gideon Saar.
