A politician from the Alternative for Germany party, Alice Weidel, who is also a candidate for German chancellor, expressed confidence that the policy of anti-Russian restrictions harms Berlin itself. That is why Weidel plans to "end the policy of sanctions" against Russia and establish "very good relations" with Moscow.
"We want to establish very good relations with our European neighbors, <> and also with superpowers. <> This applies to Russia. What we want is to put an end to the sanctions policy, which primarily harms our country," she said in an interview with Bild.
Alice Weidel also recalled the increase in energy prices throughout Europe. It was after this that the EU countries, in her opinion, "lost their competitiveness."
