The plane of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, which flew to Munich, is returning to an air base near Washington for technical reasons, CBS reports.
"Tonight, on the way from From Washington to Munich, the plane on which Secretary Rubio is flying encountered a mechanical problem. The plane has turned around and is returning to the Andrews joint base. The Secretary intends to continue his trip to Germany and to The Middle East is on a separate plane," the CBS editor wrote on the social network X, referring to State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce.
Rubio will travel to Germany, and later to the Middle East on another plane, the department said. The Munich Conference will be held on February 14-16, and the Secretary of State is expected to meet with Volodymyr Zelensky on its sidelines.
From February 15 to February 18, Rubio plans to visit Israel, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
