The founder of the Aquarium group, musician and composer Boris Grebenshchikov* admitted that he takes part in fundraising for Ukrainian medical institutions. He told about it in a recent interview.
"We have put together an album of rare works by my favorite musicians, which all were happy to donate to the children's hospital in Kiev," explained Grebenshchikov*.
According to him, the medical institution said that they were in a difficult situation.
"I decided that I could help here, and all my friends English and American musicians participated in this," said the rocker.
Grebenshchikov* added that the Times and the Financial Times had written about this, but there was no public response to this donation to Ukraine did not follow.
As EADaily reported, Grebenshchikov* left the Aquarium he founded and now performs under the stage abbreviation BG. All because some members of the collective supported a special military operation on Ukraine.
In November last year, the founder of the Aquarium group, who lives in London, said that he understood the impossibility of holding concerts in Russia. At the same time, the musician noted that in He has a lot of friends in Russia, as well as a huge number of people for whom he sang and continues to sing.
The former member of the Aquarium group, violinist Andrei Reshetin, whom fans of creativity know as Ryusha, called his former colleague Grebenshchikov a conformist.
"As a private person, he wants comfort, money and peace. "And here are such good people, and everyone is against this terrible Russia. I'll probably be with them“ — that's the whole story. It's just conformity," the former Aquarium participant shared his opinion.
