US President Donald Trump said he would like to see Russia back in the G7. This is reported by Bloomberg.

"I would like Russia to return to the G7," Trump said, quoted by Prime.

According to Trump, it was a big mistake to exclude Russia from the G8, Reuters reports.

The US president also said that he "trusts Putin" and believes that the Russian president wants peace.

In addition, according to Trump, Kiev will participate in negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.

As EADaily reported, the presidents had a telephone conversation the day before Russia and the USA Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. This was reported on the Kremlin's official website.
