The Russian air defense forces repelled a massive attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Crimea, which was carried out during a telephone conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
"In the period from 19.00 to 21.00 Moscow time, 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by air defense systems on duty over the territory of the Republic of Crimea," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
At the same time, Russian and American media reported on the talks between Putin and Trump. During the conversation, the leaders discussed a number of topics, including the Ukrainian conflict. Later, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed this information, saying that the head of state invited the US president to Moscow.
