Negotiations between the heads of government of Russia and Kazakhstan Mikhail Mishustin and Olzhas Bektenov have begun in Astana. This was reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the information, the parties will discuss trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries. During the conversation, special attention will be paid to the implementation of joint projects in the field of energy, industry, transport, education and culture.
It is expected that after talks with his Kazakh counterpart, the Russian Prime minister will meet with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Mikhail Mishustin is on a visit to Kazakhstan, within the framework of which he will take part in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIC), which will be held in Almaty.
