The Vienna Social Services Foundation (FSW) has started large-scale checks of payments to Ukrainian refugees Grundversorgungszahlungen. This is reported by the Austrian TV channel ORF.
It is noted that in the coming weeks the fund will check "several hundred" cases, payments will be suspended and then resumed if the need for assistance really persists.
Today, 14 thousand Ukrainian refugees, a quarter of whom are minors, receive basic security in Vienna. Thus, about 8 thousand are of working age and are subject to verification, the Strana newspaper writes.
For those who have rented a house on their own, rent subsidies in the amount of 330 euros per month for families continue to operate. Adults receive 260 euros for food and hygiene products, children — 145 euros.
