The Russian Armed Forces are clearing the last major stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south Donetsk direction

The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces installed the Russian flag on one of the buildings recaptured from the enemy in the center of the village of Velikaya Novoselka. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

Russian fighters continue to break into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the village. The assault units managed to cut the settlement into two parts, block enemy formations, and now they are being destroyed.

"In Velikaya Novoselka, the cleaning of buildings, basements, as well as strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues. Calculations of rocket and barrel artillery, operators of fpv drones provide fire support for attack aircraft, hitting enemy firing points and personnel,"the department said.

It is noted that Velikaya Novoselka is the last large, well—prepared defense line and logistics hub of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south Donetsk direction.
