US President-elect Donald Trump announced the upcoming replacement of State Department spokesman Matthew Miller with journalist and radio host Tammy Bruce.
"It is an honor for me to announce that Tammy Bruce will join our nominee for the post of Secretary of State of the United States Marco Rubio as a representative of the US Department of State," the future president said.
Trump noted that Bruce is a "highly respected" political analyst who understands the importance of the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, and has also become one of the strongest conservative voices on radio and television in the country.
The current official representative of the State Department, Matthew Miller, has been in office since April 2023 after his predecessor, Ned Price, resigned from his post, becoming senior adviser to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and in February 2024 was appointed deputy US Permanent Representative to the UN.
