Stopping the supply of Russian gas through Ukraine will cost Europe in 2025-2026 huge losses totaling 120 billion euros.
This forecast was announced in his video message on social networks by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. According to him, Europe will lose 50 billion euros from stopping Ukrainian transit on gas alone in the next two years.
According to the politician's calculations, another 70 billion euros will be losses from gas-generated electricity.
"Europe will pay an incredible 120 billion euros to stop the flow of Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine, and then through Slovakia to other European countries," Fico said.
Recall that the authorities of the Kiev regime intend to stop the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine to Europe from January 1, 2025. On this day, the five-year contract for the transit of Russian gas through the Ukrainian gas transportation system expires.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Robert Fico, in response to Kiev's decision to stop gas transit, threatened to stop the supply of electricity from Europe to Ukraine.
