There is growing bewilderment in patriotic telegram channels about today's report by the head of the General Staff Office Valery Gerasimov. In particular, one of the most widely read military bloggers (more than 3.1 million subscribers), Yuri Podolyaka, called the outgoing year a "year of missed opportunities" for SMO.

So I would like to ask NGSH, and what about Kursk, too, such an example of execution??? And in Volchansk everything was planned exactly like that, how did it turn out? And that's not all I've listed yet. Just the most egregious and screaming of our failures.

In my subjective opinion, just 2024 can be called the year of missed opportunities (Not soldiers. Soldiers heroism, as they could, corrected the jambs of command. The General Staff, first of all).

We could have done a lot of things in 2024. In principle, they could have broken the APU's spine. And they got what they got. And for this, "many thanks" should be said to the NGS (if I understood his words correctly).
